Trump and Moses

GOD IS DEMOLISHING OLD RELIGIOUS AND POLITICAL STRUCTURES AND REPLACING IT WITH HIS GOVERNMENT.

Much has been said in the religious and political realm about the election of Donald Trump to the Presidency of the United States. The point of this article is not to comment on the actions or words of the President as most of us have not been given the authority or chain of command to speak into the President’s life and to do so becomes just another social media rant.

I am in no way implying Mr. Trump is a Godly man but he is God’s man. How can I say that? Consider this; Moses was sent to the most powerful, governmental leader of his day, the Pharaoh of Egypt. Pharaohs were typically wealthy, oppressive idolaters, worshippers of false God’s and consistently taunted and eliminated those they considered rivals or a threat to their power. And yet God will say a specific word to Pharaoh, prior to the 7th plague of hail in Exodus 9, verse 16;

For this purpose, I have raised you up, so that I may show my power in you and that my name may be declared in all the earth.”

It’s hard for some to comprehend that the Lord can use someone like this to accomplish his purposes, yet the wisdom of the Proverbs reminds us “The king’s heart is in the hand of the Lord like the rivers of water; He turns it wherever He wishes (Proverbs 21:1).”

Many prophetic words have been used to describe Donald Trump; A wrecking ball, a bulldozer, a trumpet to sound the alarm, a hurricane and other verbiage to delineate this man before and after the election. We must remember that God sits above the politics of men and is ruling the universe and working all things after the counsel of his own will. With this in mind, Donald Trump was elected for three primary reasons:

1. Mr. Trump was elected to tear up old religious and political structures. “Everything that can be shaken will be shaken so the things that cannot be shaken may remain (Hebrews 12:22).”

This is always God’s way prior to awakening. Some may look at the confusion of the nation and say the Devil is at work and we are going out of control. Not so. I have a South African friend who told me of a million-person prayer meeting in South Africa a few years ago. Shortly after this powerful call for national awakening, the government and nation went into chaos. Casual observers missed what was taking place; the visible, natural shaking of a government was the invisible shaking of the heavens in answer to the prayers of God’s people. What we are seeing right now is not the work of hell but an answer to prayer in preparation for a national shaking of awakening.

2. Mr. Trump was elected to test the body of Christ.

The Apostle Paul reminded a pastor named Timothy “to pray for all people. Ask God to help them; intercede on their behalf, and give thanks for them. Pray this way for kings and all who are in authority so that we can live peaceful and quiet lives marked by godliness and dignity. This is good and pleases God our Savior, who wants everyone to be saved and to understand the truth (1 Timothy 2:1).”

Notice the end result of this kind of praying was peace and salvation for all men. We failed this test of prayer with President Obama but we must not fail this time around. I fear for the President’s life and the disrespect and lack of prayer for those in leadership only contribute to the chaos as the church holds the key to national peace and salvation for all men if we will obey this command.

3. Mr. Trump was elected to manage the judgments coming on America.

In December of 2016, I released this word about the Election of Donald Trump;

"The results of election 2016 brought about a tremendous amount of confusion, division, and surprise. But consider this clear word from the Lord; Donald Trump was not chosen to bring about a reprieve for America until some future president is voted in so the bottom can fall out of the country. This man was selected to manage the judgments that will come on the nation in the next 4 years. At some point during the crises, those he has placed around him will begin to call out to the Lord for mercy, which will result in a national call to repentance from the president himself. Awakening will come on the heels of a national tragedy as people recognize the sovereign hand of God and respond to the prophetic voices of repentance."

Judgement will not be averted but can be less severe if the church walks in the place of repentance. I admonish those who claim to know the Lord and those who may be searching or even doubt there is a God; Open your eyes a little wider and look a little higher to see that God is at work and in control. When we do what is required of us, we will leave Egypt behind and move into the full purposes of God.
